A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Senior-level Economic Development Associate Attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience advising domestic and international companies on complex expansions and relocations. This includes working on projects related to corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, datacenters, distribution centers, and large offices across various sectors, including automotive, life sciences, and aviation. The role requires Bar admission and a strong background in economic development law.

Duties:

  • Advise domestic and international companies on complex expansions and relocations, including corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, datacenters, distribution centers, and large offices.
  • Provide legal guidance on projects within the automotive, life sciences, and aviation sectors.
  • Manage and coordinate legal aspects of site selection, acquisition, and development projects.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to economic development projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed about relevant economic development laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address legal and regulatory challenges in economic development.
  • Offer strategic advice on incentives, zoning, land use, and compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction (Georgia).
  • Should have 6-8 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in economic development law, particularly in advising on expansions and relocations.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects related to corporate facilities and large offices.
  • Experience in automotive, life sciences, and aviation sectors is highly desirable.
