Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent counseling and prosecution.
• Conduct patentability searches and provide detailed analyses and opinions.
• Prepare and file patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related documentation.
• Manage and oversee client patent portfolios, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on IP strategy, including patent and IP litigation support.
• Represent clients in dealings with the USPTO and other intellectual property organizations.
• Collaborate with technical experts and internal teams to support developing and protecting clients' innovations.
• Stay current with changes in IP law and industry trends to provide up-to-date advice and guidance.

Requirements:

• 0-6 years of experience in patent counseling and prosecution within a law firm.
• Technical background in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, or similar fields.
• Admitted before the USPTO.
• Superior academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, or a related technical field.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
