Assistant Attorney General The candidate defend cases filed by current and former inmates against the Illinois Department of Corrections and its employees. The cases include various civil rights actions pending in the federal district court, as well as and some state law claims pending in state court. Should have sound judgment and excellent research and writing skills. Will have a demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm for trial work, 1+ years of litigation experience and a demonstrated commitment to public service. Candidates must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application.
