Litigation Paralegal
Responsibilities: Will work closely with talented attorneys providing support before, during, and after trials. Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda. E-file all court documents in state and federal court. Communications with clients, court, counsel, and others. Conduct legal research and factual investigation. Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Draft and server summons. Coordinate and summarize depositions. Prepare trial binders and exhibits. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Aid attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Help witness preparation. Help with case settlements. Assist with other tasks as requested by the attorney

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Should preferably have an Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience; be Bilingual in English and Spanish. Must have 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury-related practice areas is also preferred. Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Must be a detail-oriented ?Litigation Paralegal?. Should have great written and communication skills, be proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings with attention to detail; apply knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etc.; be highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and have extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm.

The management at this firm is awesome for being such a big firm! I do not have any recommendations.

Pros : This is a great firm to work for! Great benefits, wonderful people, and you are always busy which is a great thing always! I would definitely recommend applying.
Cons : I honestly cannot say anything bad about this firm thus far. The only downside is that you can expect to work alot, but thats not always such a bad thing.
