Spring Youth in Out-of-Home Care Law Student Intern Intern will assist the Project Director with investigation, research, and drafting in ongoing cases, prospective cases, and amicus curiae briefs. Research, draft, and edit publications on LGBTQ+ issues for public education. Assist the Project Director in preparing reports, articles, and other written materials on major child welfare issues related to LGBTQ+ youth. Assist in advocacy efforts for the implementation of LGBTQ+-inclusive child welfare/ juvenile justice policy recommendations to national, state, and local lawmakers and other public officials. Should have a strong commitment to social justice, equality, and civil rights issues, particularly those involving LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected communities. Top-notch research and writing skills are essential, and a familiarity with systems of care is a plus. Candidates with experience in care are highly encouraged to apply. Deadline October 15.
