Manager / Senior Manager, Corporate Development The candidate will assess the scientific and commercial potential of external opportunities; including product in-licensing, research collaborations, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and investments across all firm therapeutic areas. Will partner with cross functional team to build detailed patient-based forecasts and P&L models including base-case and scenario modeling to support decision making. Provide in-depth analysis and provide recommendations on new opportunities, including product profile development, competitive landscape analysis, pricing, etc. Collaborate with internal cross functional teams to identify and incorporate quality data assumptions into forecasting models and opportunity assessments. Utilize common forecasting and market research data sources and secondary research, analyst and company reports. Conduct primary market research if needed. Develop and present summaries, reports, presentations and other appropriate information for key decision makers. Assist the senior Corporate Development team with the deal process from first contact to development of terms sheets and negotiation and execution of agreements.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate Should preferably have advanced degree such as PhD, MD, MBA, of JD degree. Must have A degree preferably in chemical/biological sciences and minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting or related field. Experience in a scientific discipline is required. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required. Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills is needed. Strong knowledge of and experience with the deal process including portfolio/strategic assessments, due diligence, valuation and executive presentations is must. Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry and a record of key accomplishments is required.
