Labor and Employment Paralegal The candidate will perform employment-related legal research and monitor federal, state and local employment laws that impact organizational policy. Respond to records requests and subpoenas for employee records in accordance with applicable law. Assist with drafting/revising legally-compliant employment policies. Manage independent contractor legal review and contracting process. Assist with legal review and implementation of reorganizations and reductions-in-force. Assist with responding to complaints and conducting internal investigations. Maintain employment-related contract forms and update as needed. Assist HR with reviewing background check results. Assist in preparing and reviewing complex employment-related documents and agreements. Review of, and assist with drafting, employment-related agreements and communications such as separation agreements, independent contractor agreements, leave letters and demands for return of company equipment. Key point of contact for document production and management as needed for litigations. Must have College degree. Should be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required. Working knowledge of employment laws and practices is needed.
