ProfileSummer Internship The candidate will learn about Consumer Law Project. The Consumer Law Project (CLP) assists with a wide variety of consumer matters. Persons may be eligible for CLP’s services if they have a legal issue related to: Fraud or unfair business practices in some type of transaction; Debt collection, including harassment by creditors, default judgments, and wrongful wage garnishment or bank levies; Foreclosure; Real estate fraud; For-profit schools and related student loan debt; Financial abuse of an elder or a disabled person; Targeting disadvantaged groups for unfair business practices; Criminalization of poverty. Project include a complex consumer fraud division that focuses on litigation and policies to prevent consumer victimization. Both 1L's and 2L's are eligible. Note : Internship program will run for ten weeks, commencing on May 29, 2018, and ending on August 3, 2018.
