Real Estate Paralegal Duties : The candidate must be familiar with and observe the firm's established policies and guidelines. Must maintain positive contact with attorneys (both the firm's and outside counsel), support staff, clients and vendors. Observes confidentiality of client and firm matters. Should have experience in drafting conveyancing and loan documents. Should have experience in analyzing title reports, surveys, zoning certificates and other due diligence documents for acquisition and real estate finance transactions. Should have experience in reviewing leases and preparing lease abstracts. Should have experience in organizing and assisting with closings including drafting/review of closing and settlement statements and title and survey clearance. Should have ability to review purchase contracts and loan documents and prepare closing checklists and timelines. Should perform all the necessary follow-up for all post-closing matters, including finalizing of closing binders. Should experience in dealing with multi-state loan, sale/acquisition, and sale/leaseback transactions. Should coordinate recordation of various legal documents. Should experience with formation of entities and drafting of organizational documents.

Requirements : The candidate should be undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate required; will consider candidate with comparable relevant experience in lieu of a paralegal certificate. Must be paralegal with 7 -10 years of real estate legal experience needed. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to organize and prioritize issues and workload. The ability to work on projects independently or with little supervision. Flexibility and ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities. Exercising independent judgment and initiative.
