New York City office of our client seeks client resource attorney with 3 years of experience with a corporate or transactional practice. The candidate provides knowledge management support for several document and entity management systems for the alternative investment funds practice dedicated to a single client team. Establishes and enforces current standards and processes in the collection and organization of data in these systems. Facilitates collaboration and efficient work processes with client and client team members. Oversee the collection, maintenance and organization of documents into the document management system and collection and maintenance of entity information into the entity management system. Organize investment fund and related entities documents in a complex folder structure to facilitate access to these materials. Develop processes for reviewing and confirming the veracity of forms and the supporting documentation submitted for input into the database system. Develop and enforce governance standards to maintain an orderly structure within the document management and entity management systems. Systematically conduct quality assurance review to validate data in the entity management system. Reach out to team members and third parties to follow-up on entity organizational and related documents and verification of data. Promptly respond to incoming requests for documents or data. Train client team members in the use of all KM systems and processes pertaining to the collection, maintenance or research. Build consensus and be a champion for practice systems and new technologies. Collaborate with other firm practice KM team members to share best KM practices, resources and technologies. Broad transactional experience with some familiarity with formation of entities is needed. Extensive knowledge of document management systems, complex folder structures and how to upload documents into a variety of these systems is essential. Advanced proficiency in document system search functionality and researching corporate and private fund documents is needed.
