Contracts Management Specialist Senior Manager Duties: Responsible for daily rounding with/managing team of direct reports, balance the team workload/distribute contracts, promote initiatives and behaviors, and support independent physician contract review, drafting, and processing contracts. Selects, trains and manages the performance of staff. Assigns staff in accordance with Department and facility needs. Provides daily direction to staff. Sets goals for individuals and for the team. Acts as a mentor and coach and provides development and growth opportunities for staff. Performs initial intake sessions with internal clients to understand the scope and substance of incoming contracts, and assesses business terms to ensure that the contract supports organizational policies and goals, and is consistent with business objectives, established policies, and procedures, as well as legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Oversees contract development and management activities in accordance with Banners organizational contract policies, procedures and goals. Identifies issues and customer requirements, facilitates discussions and obtains senior management input on timelines, deliverables and contract distribution. Maintains communication to ensure timely review, analysis and execution of contracts. Drafts contractual provisions based on discussion, input and organizational needs and expectations. Ensures that contracts are properly entered into organizational databases and maintained. Identifies, addresses and communicates opportunities to improve work processes and enable achievement of goals in quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. Maintains statistics and reports on activity in areas of responsibility. Coordinates and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Knowledge of legal/contracts as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelorâ€™s Degree or certified paralegal certification. Must have 3-5 years of progressively responsible legal experience performing and/or leading contract related activities. Supervisory experience preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred. Requires being customer focused with a confident, professional and positive demeanor. Requires being detail oriented with clear analytical, oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work with tight timelines and a high volume workload. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions without close oversight or instruction while functioning independently or in teams. Must have a substantial working knowledge of common software programs and data management programs.
