Litigation Personal Injury/Legal Assistant Candidate will support. Will include: Organize case files. Maintain communications with clients, courts, attorneys, experts, and witnesses. Create and maintain several databases as necessary. Coordinate and schedule mediations, depositions (defendant/plaintiff/experts/doctors/witnesses), tribunal hearings, and attorney meetings. Draft certain legal documents such as notices of depositions, subpoenas, requests for copies. Monitor calendars and meet deadlines. Document all actions into case management software. Reviewing medical records to and requesting missing records and bills as needed. Ensure experts/doctors have received payments for depositions. Take initiative and review correspondence to determine necessary action. Verifying balances. Processing invoices. Template correspondence. Mailing out correspondence. Scanning and uploading to correspondence.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 2 years' litigation experience is mandatory, PI preferred. Should have common sense, a stable past work history, a winning attitude and be a team player. Must also be able to work independently, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and know how to prioritize. Knowledge filing to State of Florida e-Filing Portal is a must.
