Senior Procurement Manager of Construction and Professional Services Responsibilities: Working with senior stakeholders to develop Category Sourcing Strategies. Lead Supplier Engagement including annual supplier scorecards, reviews, on-going activities to ensure two-way dialogue, notice / claim resolution. Establish consistent and efficient contracting and supplier selection methods. Develop project contract strategies. Utilize industry expertise to ensure clear, concise and enforceable contract documents. Lead contract negotiations for Master agreements and project specific agreements. Support site construction teams in proactive management of commercial risks. Guide the contractual claims process. Champion compliance with corporate fiscal, legal, environmental and risk management policies in order to minimize and limit corporate liability, manage risk, and optimize value. Support other Data Center Business Processes as need including Stage Gate, Lean Process Development, SOX and Anti-Corruption/ Anti-Bribery compliance. Depending on project volumes, lead a team of vendors in project contract execution and contract administration.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelorâ€™s degree in a construction related discipline, MBA or JD Degree would be an advantage. 6+ yearsâ€™ post graduate construction/ supply chain/ procurement experience preferably in Technology/ Infrastructure/ Industrial construction, preferably in Owner organizations. Strong commercial understanding and experience driving value on key categories (AE, GC, and other Construction Services suppliers cost structures). Knowledge of industry and experience managing a variety of project delivery methods - ability to lead a project team in defining risk and developing the appropriate contracting and compensation approach. Demonstrable experience in contract development and contract negotiations. Firm understanding and use / enforcement of Contracts legal principles. Ability to work as trusted advisor on category sourcing strategies and contract management for a variety of groups including Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Cost Teams and other Owner-personnel. Ability to work well in cross-functional teams to define and develop lean processes. Ability to coach individual contributors and lead teams. Preference for experience on large-scale projects - sourcing, managing and administering contracts large dollar contracts of over $200M. Preference for experience leading risk analysis of projects and contracts.
