ProfileLegal Assistant - Billing Assistant The candidate will ensure the timely and accurate processing of all foreclosure related billing and invoicing. Create, manage and execute on fee approvals within internal case management system and all client systems. Creation of invoices within the law firm case management system. Review and verify accuracy of fees/billing/invoices and supporting documentation. Effective communication with clients to ensure accuracy of fee request and invoicing. Research and respond to client and attorney concerns to resolve discrepancies in billing. Use of computer system for all fee and invoicing inquires and processing. Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a high school diploma. Associate degree preferred but not required. At least one(1) year of work experience in Accounting, Billing and/or Invoicing or Foreclosure Law Firm. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Fee Requests/Approvals with billing experience in a law firm that has a high transaction volume is preferred. Proficiency with excel and other Microsoft products. BKFS, Vendorscape, LenStar and TEMPO experience preferred, but not required. Proficiency in non-judicial foreclose process. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Overall good attitude and willingness to adapt to change. Must possess good organizational skills. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Balances team and individual responsibilities. Contributes to building a positive team spirit. Must be well organized, a self -starter with excellent time management skills, and have excellent communication and follow up skills.
