ProfileEUO Coordinator & Scheduling Assistant Duties: Provides confidential administrative support to legal staff and legal department. Gathers relevant information and documents, under direction, or compiles data from a variety of sources. Performs a wide variety of duties which may be confidential in nature and require research to complete; operates personal computer to compose, edit, revise, tabulate, and print letters, tables, reports and other materials. Prepares documents and correspondence, requiring knowledge of legal terminology and documents formats. Establishes, maintains, processes and/or oversees files, correspondence, databases, records, certificates and/or other documents. Provides follow up with appropriate departments, under direction, requests for information from attorneys, and other related issues, interacts with claims department staff to answer related routine questions and concerns. Schedules appointments and performs other duties related to maintaining an attorney’s schedule; will schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences, including travel and lodging arrangements. Arranges teleconferences as required.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school diploma /GED. Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish. Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to satisfy needs of internal and external customers which includes quickly and effectively solving customer problems. Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own standards and adhere to project deadlines; successfully handle multiple tasks in a timely manner. Ability to take initiative without being directed to do so. Successfully work in a team based environment. Stay abreast on leading-edge technology in his/her technical area of expertise Possess knowledge of claim systems, process payments and database/records management skills Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Access, Word and Excel). High degree of initiative, mature judgment and discretion in handling confidential information. Desired Skills: 3+ years of legal assistance experience with a focus on insurance. Possess legal assistant supervisory experience. Possess knowledge of legal terminology and document formats such as reports, briefs, pleadings and motions. Experience using case management applications (i.e. Legal Files).
