A law firm seeks a knowledgeable Bankruptcy Attorney to join its Irving, TX office, specializing in creditor's rights with a focus on consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience representing secured creditors and possess a solid understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. However, the firm is also willing to train a motivated, team-oriented individual with less experience.
Duties
- Manage routine bankruptcy matters efficiently.
- Draft and review all pleadings and claims related to bankruptcy cases.
- Attend scheduled court hearings and advocate for clients.
- Respond to general inquiries related to bankruptcy from within the firm.
- Review filings and documentation on behalf of clients.
- Monitor all electronic filings (ECFs) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Resolve routine bankruptcy issues, including Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, and Proofs of Claim.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- Admission to the District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Texas.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law or a strong willingness to learn.
Education
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
