ProfileLoan Processor/Documentation Specialist The candidate reviews credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests and submits to the underwriting committee for them to render a decision. Collects and organizes financial information, such as financial statements, credit bureau reports and cash flows to prepare complete underwriting package. Prepares reports in response to new and additional credit proposals for loan officers and committees. Perform initial appraisal of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications. Prepares required loan documents for the customer and any other parties involved with the transaction to sign. Is accountable for the accurate and timely processing of all loan documents from collection of documents to verification of execution. Primarily work with the management team in all aspects of loan preparation, processing and documentation, ensuring that all loan files are complete, and scanned in a timely manner. Accountable for loan preparation, and ensures that subject loans are properly prepared and all necessary documentation is submitted to the underwriting committee. Collect and organize all required documents from applicants for the loan package. Perform data evaluation on information retrieved from hard money loan applications. Conduct risk assessments on potential clients based on previous borrowing history, credit rating, industry experience and other factors. Create a loan submission package for the underwriting committee. Ensure that approval falls within the established firm lending policies. Review initial loan approval and work with borrower to gather appropriate documentation. Communicate with other professionals both internally and externally, as necessary. Play an integral role in company growth by assisting the management team meet customer needs while maintaining profitability and proactively finding opportunities to enhance customer relationships. Maintain contact with customers to retain and continue to develop customer relationships by providing a consistent quality level of service that is timely, thorough and responsive to all customers. Take ownership of customer issues until they are resolved to the customers’ satisfaction; including making the determination as to when it is necessary to involve the Executive Director of Operations or other resources. Responsible for keeping all information related to customers, co-workers and firm private and confidential. Accountable for maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job which include but are not limited to documentation, preparation and maintenance of loans, accounts and computer applications. Responsible for pursuing personal excellence by setting personal goals, identifying opportunities to grow and acting on those opportunities to learn. Identify personal interests and opportunities to make a positive difference for someone else. Give back to the community by participating in at least four community service activities each year.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field. Must have 2+ years’ Para Legal, contract generation and documentation experience. Basic knowledge of loan underwriting terminology is required. 1-2 years loan processing experience, preferably in the commercial construction lending space is needed. Efficient computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office is must. Working knowledge of New Accounts operations is essential.
