Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its employment law practice. The ideal candidate will handle employment-related cases, advising clients and representing them in litigation and administrative proceedings.
Duties:
Represent clients in employment law matters, including litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Develop case strategies and participate in settlement negotiations.
Take and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
Maintain strong client communication and provide regular case updates.
Requirements:
Active California Bar License in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law litigation.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines.
Experience handling depositions, hearings, and negotiations.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
California State Bar License (Required).
Skills:
Proficiency in employment law statutes and regulations.
Strong litigation and trial preparation abilities.
Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to provide strategic legal counsel to clients.
