Corporate Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for oversight and leadership of the activities and functions of either several departments within a single business unit or a functional line for the system. Will participate in establishing and ensures achievement of the organizations strategic objective and leads strategic planning for assigned areas. Provides functional expertise essential to support department directors and managers and or executive team. Oversees budget for assigned areas. Directs standards of practice and process improvement activities. Oversees staffing matrices and possesses authority to hire, conduct performance evaluations, and discipline employees. Directs policy and procedures formation for guiding and supporting the provisions of service.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Juris Doctor Degree (JD). Must have 5+ years’ experience as a lawyer. Must be Member in good standing of California BAR. 7 years employment law experience preferred. ABA accredited law school preferred. Ligation experience preferred. Labor relations experience preferred.
