Loan Documentation Specialist
DUTIES: Review Credit Approval Memorandum to determine appropriate loan documentation requirements. Draft and prepare all loan documentation and other relevant documents as required. Communicate with borrowers, legal counsel and bank employees to obtain and review due diligence items required to close commercial loans. Review attorney prepared loan documentation for accuracy, completeness and conformity to the bank’s policies and procedures. Coordinate with Commercial Banking Department to schedule loan closings. Review requests for appraisals to determine appropriate scope of work required for commercial loan appraisals. Obtain appraisal quotes and engage appraisals for commercial loans. Ensure that all appraisals are independent and engaged in accordance with bank policy and procedures. Is aware of and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies and the bank’s policies. Is aware of and complies with CRA guidelines and policies and the bank’s non-discrimination policy.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Two years of college or equivalent work experience with paralegal training or specialized knowledge of loan documentation. 2 years of relevant work experience in a legal, lending or banking environment or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking skills, the ability to work well with others and independently, accustomed to a fast-paced working environment, attention to detail, and multi-tasking.
