Profile

Houston office of our client seeks litigation associate attorney with 2 years of experience, preferably some first-chair trial experience. The candidate will address complex legal issues, and the ability to formulate litigation strategies for each case. Must be admitted to practice in the state of Texas. Must preferably have 1-3 years of defense litigation experience. Should have experience in taking and defending depositions; managing a large litigation docket, while ensuring all deadlines are met in all cases; briefing responses and motions; responding and objecting to written discovery and pleadings. Solid legal research and comprehensive writing experience is needed. Oral argument experience at hearings is essential. Personal experience in case development, including the investigation of facts, interviewing of clients and witnesses, and the development of defense strategy is needed. Experience in maintaining a record of billable hours is required.
