A law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of expertise in commercial real estate finance. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans, and will be instrumental in managing key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing. Experience in a large law firm is strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage commercial real estate finance transactions, including commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.
  • Act as a key member of deal teams, handling crucial aspects of transactions from due diligence through to closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various loan documents such as credit agreements, promissory notes, and related documentation.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including reviewing titles and surveys, and coordinate with other legal and business teams.
  • Provide legal guidance on complex real estate finance issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review legal opinions and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progression of transactions.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting real estate finance.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with a proven ability to manage transactions and work effectively as part of deal teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.
  • Experience working in a large law firm is strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate finance law, including due diligence, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in North Carolina or eligibility for admission.

Skills:
