Deputy Attorney General The candidate will prepare appropriate court pleadings and other litigation documents including appellate briefs. Provide representation at administrative hearings related to benefit denials or placements on the Central Registry. Coordinate with local county prosecutors’ offices regarding child protection cases. Provide legal advice to the Department on program related matters to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and administrative rules. Train new social workers on the legal aspects of child protection law, report writing, and testifying in court. Admission to the Idaho Bar. Enthusiasm for public service essential. 2+ years of litigation experience preferred. Knowledge of administrative law and experience representing organizations desirable.
