ProfileLegal Partner Advising senior management within business groups, with a particular focus on technology licensing and collaborations at a technical (engineering) level. Supporting Arm product groups in developing business models and licensing IP. Drafting and maintaining associated precedents and know-how for complex areas of software and semiconductor IP products. Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts, including technology licences and collaboration agreements, providing research and preparing know-how. Gaining experience on a range of our technology and building relationships with internal clients across Arm’s offices. Developing expertise on a number of Arm's partners to improve on existing legal relationship.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree of Law, with a license from the Bar preferably in the state you will be based. Knowledge of contract and IP law. Knowledge applicable to technology (hardware and/or software) licensing and commercial contracts more broadly. Ability to think laterally and to challenge assumption and working practises. Excellent communication and drafting skills. Capable of building strong business and working relationships within ARM and with its partners. Flexibility for international travel. Desired: Knowledge of semiconductor industry, particularly with System-on-Chip (SoC) designers and/or Foundry businesses. Experience with software licences and projects. An understanding of competition/anti-trust and Standards bodies. Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions including IP, contractual due diligence and integration. Experience working across cultures, and geographies.
