Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Attorney specializing in Divorce, Family Law, and Criminal cases. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients in a range of legal matters, including court appearances, drafting legal documents, and providing sound legal advice. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys and clients, ensuring legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

Location:

  • White Plains, NY

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding family law, divorce, and criminal cases.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes and resolve matters outside of court when possible.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and legal standards.
  • Assist with case management and administrative duties as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in Divorce, Family Law, and Criminal law is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes, statutes, and relevant case law.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex legal problems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality and manage sensitive matters with care.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in New York State (or eligibility to be admitted).

Skills:
