Paralegal - International Trade Commission The candidate will assist multiple attorneys, primarily in ITC cases and Section 337 filings. Will assist with discovery requests and document retrievals. Create, update and maintain working pleadings and correspondence files. Organize all necessary documents for depositions, hearings, trials and arbitrations. Review and summarize documents, summarize depositions and comile key testimony into case database. Update case file index on a daily basis. Assist attorneys at depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations and all stages of trial preparation. Coordinate discovery and/or filings with courts and government agencies and act as liaison with court clerks. Perform various searches in litigation databases. Participate in case strategy meetings. Monitor Â§ 337 filings, including new complaints and developments in pending cases. Train other paralegals on ITC rules and procedures.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 2+ years of Intellectual Property paralegal experience, with a focus on ITC Â§ 337 litigation. Bachelorâ€™s degree or Paralegal Certification required. Must have working knowledge of the rules and procedures of the ITC, various courts and e-filings. Must have experience with litigation technology, such as, Summation, LiveNote, IPRO, and eDiscovery processes. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Bilingual fluency in Chinese preferred.
