Part-Time Senior Legal Assistant Duties: Provide full support to two law firm partners specializing in business litigation, including overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the practice. Prepare pleadings and other Court filings. Transcribe dictation. Accept responsibility for accounts receivable, bill paying, and payroll processing through an outside payroll service. Prepare client invoices monthly using Timeslips software. Prepare basic accountings. Interact with clients, vendors, other counsel, and Courts. Oversee various office and firm insurance policies, including completing applications for renewal bids Order office supplies and equipment, and vendor management Supervise file clerk (monitor workflow, projects, and deadlines).
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 4+ years' of legal office experience. Someone with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills; able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, meet and keep track of deadlines; highly resourceful, efficient, responsive, with attention to detail; self-motivated and proactive. Knowledge of QuickBooks/Quicken and Timeslips strongly preferred. Schedule: 30 hours per week
