Project Assistant The candidate provides assistance to lawyers from the inception to close of the deal/transaction. Duties: Drafting investment documents and incorporating comments or revisions into documents prepared by attorneys. Monitoring document filings with the SEC. Keeping records of all active deals. Preparing daily calendar with updates on all deals currently pricing and/or launching that week and distribution to the structured notes team. Proofreading of Prospectus Supplements and other documents to be filed with the SEC. Preparing and organizing documents for Associate and Partner review. Performs other miscellaneous projects and tasks, as requested by attorneys and Project Assistant Manager. Performs other work-related duties, as may be assigned. A Litigation Project Assistant provides assistance to lawyers from the filing of a complaint to the resolution. Managing all aspects of large scale complex litigations, arbitrations and investigations. Maintaining, updating and organizing client files, witness files, trial transcripts, fact and research files, court papers and correspondence files in hard copy form as well as electronic form. Producing electronic and hard copy documents. Assisting with responses to discovery and government requests, including redacting documents in hard copy form as well as on line. Abstracting depositions and assembling documents for use at depositions. When needed, preparing for and attending court trials and/or arbitrations and handling all duties associated with a trial such as: preparing witness binders, preparing and tracking exhibits, contacting clients and witnesses, scheduling court reporters, etc. Cite-checking, blue-booking and proofreading briefs. Preparing privilege logs. Filing documents electronically with the courts. Performs other miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by attorneys and Project Assistant Manager. Performs other work-related duties, as may be assigned. Should have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
