Corporate Compliance - Global Financial Crimes - Compliance Manager - Vice President The candidate supervises a team of FIU investigators day-to-day activities including: assigning cases, reviewing work products, providing coaching, training and completing performance evaluations of team members. Provides guidance on setting investigative scope that appropriately address the risks globally. Coaches investigators on performance to achieve production and quality standards. Identifies potential risks and control issues, determines the root cause of issues and escalates when appropriate on corrective actions. Manages the project process to guide investigators on effective actions while continuing to drive efficient use of time and resources. Reviews and approves final work products including suspicious activity reports, project slide decks, and closure documents. Designs, creates, and delivers work summaries and presentations appropriate for the intended audience which can include senior management within Compliance and the business. Drives process improvements, including control metrics and proactively addressing personnel and systemic stress points in the end-to-end process. Establishes collaborative working relationships with GFCC team members globally. Participates in assigned GFCC Investigations working groups.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD degree or other advanced degree is preferred. Relevant AML/OFAC certifications is a plus. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required Should have 7+ years of financial crime investigations experience with a minimum of 2 years of prior management experience. Demonstrable, in-depth knowledge of financial crime standards applicable to a global financial services firm / Thorough understanding of matters and fact patterns that are useful to global law enforcement bodies is needed. Ability to lead assigned investigations staff, coordinating activities across global investigative regions (ability demonstrated through relevant documented experience), and provide appropriate performance coaching and management is essential. Capable of influencing stakeholders and collaborating with GFCC, GFC Legal and Advisory team members globally are needed. Ability to apply knowledge of various ML/TF typologies, geography, products, customer-types, and expected activity in order to effectively identify risk and suspicious activity is needed. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills having the ability to present to executive levels in the organization is needed. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint). Must be able to demonstrate advanced ability to prepare and deliver presentation materials are needed. Program/Project Management experience at JPMC or a similar global financial institution is preferred. SAR/STR subject matter experience/expertise is preferred. Knowledge of banking businesses and related products including investment management, treasury services, and correspondent banking businesses is preferred. Law Enforcement or Financial Services Regulatory experience is preferred. In depth understanding of BSA, AML, OFAC and other AML regulatory policies are preferred.
