Regulatory and Litigation Counsel, Ecosystems The candidate will assess and respond to complex regulatory inquiries and investigations involving products and businesses globally. Will support other legal, product, and engineering teams involved in conducting investigations by developing best practices for conducting investigations, training, tracking/monitoring regulatory inquiries and investigations, and responding to matters involving heightened risk. Work with product, engineering, and compliance teams to advise them of regulatory risks.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a JD, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience. Must have 7 years of experience in regulatory and corporate investigations. Must be Admitted to the Bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located. 10 years of experience with litigation, regulatory, and/or corporate investigations, including strategically addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk is preferred. Experience engaging with regulators, including States AG, FTC, DOJ, and global data protection or consumer protection authorities is a plus. Experience with the high-risk incident response is desired. Should preferably have experience working with internet and technology companies. Experience working with public company boards and their counsel, including special/audit committees helpful.
