The role involves advising high net worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and trust administration, including multijurisdictional estate planning and tax-efficient family wealth transfer strategies.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide estate planning and estate/trust administration services
  • Advise on tax-efficient family wealth transfer strategies, business succession, and asset protection planning
  • Assist in multijurisdictional estate planning for high net worth individuals
  • Draft and review complex estate planning documents
  • Collaborate with family offices, fiduciaries, and other professionals on private client matters
  • Provide legal counsel on succession planning and tax matters relevant to trusts and estates

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in trusts and estates, including tax and succession planning
  • Strong technical, client service, and professional skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively within a team
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Member of the New York State Bar in good standing

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning and trust administration
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal tax laws
  • Strong legal drafting and advisory skills
  • Ability to manage high-net-worth clients and complex estate matters
