Back Office Assistant Duties: Assist attorneys and staff with various tasks including drafting/finalizing correspondence and other documents, witnessing and notarizing the signing of documents, copying, scanning, and recording documents as requested. Back office support for estate planning and estate administration clients. Organize and index estate planning and corporate transactional documents for clients. Assist the Financial Manager with special projects such as production of client letters. Primary backup to receptionist (greet clients and guests, schedule and confirm client meetings, answer phones and screen calls, assist with opening new client files, prepare outgoing mail, etc.). Responsible for conducting and maintaining inventory of the firmâ€™s supplies. Primary responsibility for the firmâ€™s file management. Open, scan and distribute incoming mail. Participate in firm-sponsored legal seminars.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Four-year bachelorâ€™s degree (absolute requirement). 2 years' job experience (legal experience a plus). Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task. Self-starter. People-oriented individual with excellent judgment.
