ProfileAssistant United States Attorney The candidate will litigate on behalf of the government, a wide variety of civil cases including employment discrimination, medical malpractice, constitutional claims against federal officials, personal injury, bankruptcy, collection, foreclosure, health care fraud, procurement fraud, prisoner litigation, challenges to federal agency actions, and subpoena and summons enforcement litigation. Must have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the Bar (any US jurisdiction) and have 3+ years of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Should preferably have substantial civil litigation experience that includes responsibility for all aspects of discovery, trial and appeals, superior writing skills, and broad-based knowledge of civil practice and procedures. Will be expected to do their own legal research and writing and be self-sufficient in preparing day-to-day correspondence and pleadings. Application Deadline: July 13, 2018.
