Legal Assistant - Workers Compensation The candidate will be responsible for legal secretarial support to attorneys working on Workers' Compensation claim matters, and assist in overall support of the office as needed. Duties may include document production, scheduling and calendar activity, data maintenance in company systems, interactions with clients, court personnel, Home Office and claim handlers, opening and closing files, filing, photocopying, answering phones, processing mail for all assigned cases, e-filing, and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Should have 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary in a law office or corporate law department. Workers' Compensation experience is required. Must have experience providing support to legal staff for preparation of correspondence, trial or discovery preparation, scheduling, data maintenance, client/claim/home office contact, opening and closing files relating to complex Workers' Compensation matters, experience with e-filing. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed. Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience is needed.
