Attorney The candidate will promote and lead a shared mission, vision, identity, and culture. Will maintain an environment committed to understanding the expectations and requirements of TLRA's customers. Develop and sustain communication and relationship will all clients. Direct all training, monitoring, and performance management. Provide FDCPA education and training to all associates and monitor for compliance. Manage work processes, develop realistic plans and timetables, and implement performance measures to track progress, outcomes, and accomplishments. Establish measurable goals and best practices that are focused on client expectations and financial success. Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations regarding communication, billing, and collection services. Ensure guidelines and procedures are documented and updated as required for all legal collection operations. Ensure compliance documentation. Develop operational strategic plan for the recovery services provided. Provide annual budget for areas of responsibility. Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the industry and provide recommendations on opportunities to improve or expand services. Identify, develop, and implement services needed to support the business objectives of TLRA. Provide effective and routine communication and reporting to customers that identify opportunities for improvement, problem resolution and enhancement for TLRA's services. Maintain professional growth, skills, and competencies to continuously improve the level of quality of services provided.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have Law Degree licensed for both Federal and Texas Bars are preferred. Licensed attorney for the state of Texas is required. Licensed attorney at the federal level strongly is preferred. Should have 3 - 5 years of experience as a collection attorney in healthcare recovery. Solid knowledge of hospital business office function are needed. Solid knowledge of collection operations and applications are needed. Thorough knowledge of health care reimbursement and insurance recovery; insurance contracts; lien statutes and filing, workers compensation act, ERISA and COBRA, third party liability and subrogation recovery is needed. Thorough knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for third party collections are needed. Thorough knowledge of Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Consumer Credit Protection Act, Texas Insurance Code, Texas Workers Compensation Act is needed.
