Trademark Paralegal The candidate will prepare and file documents and supporting materials to prosecute and maintain U.S. trademark portfolio, including statements of use, section 8 and 15 declarations. Maintain docketing database and prepare quarterly trademark status reports. Provide support in gathering and organizing evidence for opposition and enforcement actions. Review marketing, social media, and promotional materials for trademark use compliance. Conduct trademark searches and related diligence. Review trademark and domain name watch notices and report on actionable infringements. Prepare and manage U.S. copyright applications and record keeping. File takedown notices on e-commerce and social media platforms. Assist with Internet disputes and domain name transfers. Respond to correspondence relating to unsolicited ideas. Monitor and respond to communications/correspondence from clients, outside counsel, and firm parent and affiliate companies. Must have extensive law firm or corporate law department experience as a paralegal handling trademark prosecution and enforcement matters, including portfolio management, searching and clearance, oppositions and cancellations and licensing matters and/or anti-counterfeit enforcement. Should preferably have Bachelor's degree or higher and Paralegal certificate from accredited program. 5 years as a as a paralegal handling trademark prosecution and enforcement matters is essential. Experience with well-recognized IP docketing systems, such as Anaqua or CPA Global is needed. Strong understanding of USPTO rules and procedures is required. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential. Proficiency with Lexis or similar legal research software is preferred.
