Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a chemist patent agent with 3+ years of experience in patent drafting and patent prosecution. The candidate will serve in the fields of cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology. Draft and assist in the prosecution of patent applications and develop, write and edit material for reports, opinion letters, applications and related technical publications concerned with scientific work methods, procedures, and inventions in their scientific field. In addition, they will (1) analyze, review and prepare licenses agreements, investor due diligence studies, and opinion letters concerning patents and patent applications; (2) prepare and review patent applications by applying high-level substantive knowledge of biological science, current research, scientific methods, and analysis; and (3) assist partners and associates with advice to clients concerning the patentability of inventions, infringement of patents and validity of patents. Must hold a Master's degree but preferably a Ph.D. in relevant science and be registered before the USPTO.
