This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in commercial litigation, though additional experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate, or matrimonial law is considered a plus.
Duties
- Represent clients in various commercial litigation matters.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and provide advice on case strategy.
- Assist in trial preparation and strategy development.
- Manage client relationships and communicate legal concepts effectively.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality legal services.
- Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain a strong commitment to deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate, or matrimonial law is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Must hold an active New Jersey Bar license.
- The New York Bar license is preferred.
