Associate, Audit and Privacy
The candidate will report directly to the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer. Will handle day-to-day management of personnel to allow the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer to focus on the legal and risk environment affecting the firm globally. As an investigator, strategist, adviser and implementer, drive legal analysis and operational strategy based on the priorities of the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer. Contribute to the strategic positioning of the firm, particularly with respect to its management of risk and handling of data. Act as principal adviser to the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer and senior management team for the firm. Update and assist the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer daily on areas of risk to the firm and operations of the Office of Audit and Privacy. Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives within the Office's jurisdiction. Participate in regular meetings with senior management of the firm. Assess inquiries directed to the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer, determine the proper course of action, and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage. Provide legal advice and direction to the Director of Audit with respect to internal and external audit engagements. Provide legal advice and support to the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer with respect to internal investigations within the jurisdiction of the Office of Audit and Privacy. Provide legal, strategic and operational advice to the Chief Audit and Privacy Officer with respect to the operations of the firm's Data Privacy Office, including the administration, management, and development of the firm's Privacy Program and related projects, such as EU GDPR compliance. Identify, develop and socialize policies, procedures and processes designed to address areas of strategic importance to the firm, including risk management, quality assurance, and privacy. Collaborate with internal project management, business applications and information security teams on matters and projects of concern to, or within the jurisdiction of, the Office of Audit and Privacy. Act as initial and lead point of contact for both internal and external (i.e., client and regulatory) stakeholders for audit and privacy-related inquires and escalations.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have J.D. degree and current admission to the Bar. Must have 5+ years of legal experience, including demonstrated skills in conducting internal investigations, developing policies and procedures, and providing practical, strategic advice to clients. Current and/or prior experience in the areas of risk management, compliance and privacy required. Should have comfort with and understanding of audit techniques and methodology.
