ProfileParalegal The candidate cases involve employers failing to pay workers’ wages, discriminating on the basis of citizenship or national origin, subjecting workers to human trafficking conditions, and breaking recruitment promises. Clients include local Georgians, migrant U.S.-based farmworkers, and guest workers from Latin America and the Caribbean. Works closely with our attorneys, investigates claims, communicates with clients and potential clients, and provides support for on-going litigation. Must be Spanish-speaking college graduate. Should have a belief in social justice, a desire to work with migrant clients, and the ability to develop confidence in abused and disenfranchised migrant workers. In addition, because will also be involved in the office’s on-going litigation, should have (or desire to develop) investigative and interviewing skills and a desire to learn the steps of social change through litigation. Must be Undergraduate degree or above. Should be Bilingual English/Spanish.
