Corporate Legal Assistant Duties: Preparing and revising basic corporate documents. Assisting lawyers with transaction due diligence. Preparing for SEC filings and closings, including tracking and maintaining closing documents and checklists. Fulfilling post-closing responsibilities, including closing set completion and distribution. Contributing to knowledge management efforts within practice group. Coordinating with clients, lawyers, government agencies, service companies, vendors and firm staff.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated academic achievement. Willingness to make a 2 year commitment to the firm. Availability to work overtime on nights and weekends. Proven analytical skills and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills, efficiency and attention to detail. Able to prioritize requests under time pressure and handle multiple, detailed tasks. Motivation: ability to work efficiently without direct supervision, to take ownership of discrete projects and to develop specialized expertise.
