Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Partner to join its Fayetteville, Arkansas office. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, business disputes, and arbitration. Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of commercial litigation, including business disputes and arbitration.
  • Oversee fact discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and preparation of pleadings.
  • Draft a variety of dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, as well as represent clients in court.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel by identifying and analyzing legal issues and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Ensure legal compliance across all matters handled.
  • Collaborate closely with other attorneys on complex legal issues and strategies.
  • Supervise associates and professional staff, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Manage administrative and operational functions within the practice group.
  • Assist in the development and growth of the firm’s commercial litigation practice through business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial litigation and business disputes.
  • Proven experience in managing complex litigation, including depositions, motions, and courtroom appearances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in advocating for clients in high-stakes legal matters.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Arkansas or eligibility to practice in Arkansas.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Strong drafting and legal writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases from inception through resolution.
  • Excellent advocacy and courtroom experience.
  • Leadership skills and experience supervising associates and staff.
  • Effective client communication and business development capabilities.
