Appellate Paralegal The candidate will manage dockets and reviews filings made in the appellate courts, prepares letters, memoranda and legal documents for use by the court and the legal counsel in the appellate court clerk's office, assists in the preparation of trial court files for use during the appellate process; reviews briefs, appendices and other filed documents for appellate rules compliance, jurisdictional concerns and proper filing requirements, assists litigants and counsel with issues regarding the appellate process, assists in the preparation of motions for submission to the court, assists internal legal counsel with the screening of appellate cases, assists in the preparation of motions for submission to the court, assists with administrative duties of the courts with the tracking and filing of judicial reports and administrative orders of the supreme court and court administration, and performs other duties as assigned by the clerk. High School diploma or GED, 2 years of post high school education, and legal assistant or paralegal certification is required. Should have 1 year of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant. Experience in civil, criminal and juvenile work is preferred. Deadline: June 29, 2018.
