Tax Financial Markets MST Associate Summer 2019 The candidate demonstrates some proven ability to play an integral role as a professional on company's Financial Markets Team supporting clients including to: researching tax issues & following tax legislative events; assisting in the structuring of financial instruments; consulting on tax operations and processes; preparing tax returns with respect to finance companies, fixed income securities, and structured transactions and market participants; developing and implementing comprehensive tax system solutions for complex financial products; tax modeling of complex financial assets, such as mortgage backed securities and derivatives Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative. Participate with assisting on consulting services and tax opinions and other technical analysis for a broad array of financial transactions including to securitizations, fixed income products, options, warrants, derivatives, hedges, convertible debt and various restructuring transactions. Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting or a Juris Doctorate. Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3. Preferred Major GPA: 3.3. Client service associate positions are entry-level and job seekers are typically in the final academic year of completing their educational requirements or have graduated. Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting at company, will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for relevant practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states. JD candidates should be eligible to sit for the Bar exam. Should have solid understanding of financial accounting, capital markets, taxation, and financial mathematics. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters. Must have experience demonstrating effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Should have ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form.
