Paralegal - Medical Malpractice/Professional Liability
Duties: Maintain an orderly work flow in your area of responsibility. Set priorities to accomplish the attorney(s) work. Keep records for client billing by recording time daily. Litigation support activities including, but not limited to, database management and electronic filing. Summarize materials by preparing deposition outlines, highlighting issues and compiling all relevant information. Facilitate comprehensive information flow by drafting documents including correspondence, legal memoranda and pleadings. Establish clear case organization by administering and maintaining case materials. Perform special tasks as needed, which may include learning new functions on the computer or specific applications, such as litigation management software and databases. Gathering, organizing, and reviewing medical records.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate preferred. Must have 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal. Medical Education and/or experience a plus. Familiar with Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to learn to digest and understand Medical Records. Familiar with all Court rules and procedures. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Analytical/detail oriented. Proven work ethic, dependable and reliable. Excellent verbal and written communication English language skills. Ability to work overtime if required. Ability to multi-task.

There needs to be implementation of staff and employee ideas. The office should not be afraid of change and should push towards embracing the new ideas.

Pros : An office environment in which staff encompasses the quality of kindness. The staff works with you. CIO has an open door policy.
Cons : The office is filled with many of the employments devoting the majority of their work history to this office. There are fewer opportunities for experience and being able to submit new ideas since some people are set in their ways.
