Duties:

  • Prepare and negotiate letters of intent, purchase agreements, assignments, and all ancillary and closing documents to facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Review and analyze financing and closing aspects of intricate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Handle various types of lending and financing transactions, demonstrating expertise in the real estate sector.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts that align with client needs and legal requirements.
  • Independently manage assigned matters from inception to completion while supervising paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on multi-jurisdictional transactions, representing a diverse clientele, including Fortune 100/500 companies, governmental agencies, and small businesses.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Wisconsin or Iowa; admission in Illinois and/or Indiana is beneficial.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in real estate law and transactions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex transactions and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate intricate legal frameworks.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Wisconsin or Iowa.
