A law firm seeks a motivated Litigation Associate to join its Raleigh, NC office. This full-time position involves assisting in the representation of businesses across various legal matters, including commercial litigation, construction law, equipment leasing, and finance litigation, commercial creditor bankruptcy, and general creditors' rights.

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of cases in commercial litigation and related areas.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, demonstrating strong courtroom presence.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to ensure effective case management.
  • Develop marketing strategies to grow and enhance the practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in litigation, with a focus on the specified practice areas.
  • Experience in a private litigation practice, with an understanding of the business aspects of law firm management.
  • Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing.
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with demonstrated courtroom and negotiation capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with proven leadership abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina Bar; dual licensing in South Carolina and/or Virginia is preferred.

Skills:
