Workers Compensation Trial Attorney The candidate will be representing the Company in all phases of Workers’ Compensation litigation, practicing law in compliance with ethical standards as established by state law by preparing and defending moderate to high exposure Workers’ Compensation cases from a challenging and varied caseload. Will be responsible for representing the commercial insureds of a prestigious and financially stable commercial insurance carrier by preparing and trying moderate to high exposure Workers Compensation cases from a challenging and varied caseload. Encompassing all aspects of insurance defense, including initial investigation and legal analysis and advice, preparing and filing legal pleadings and documents, performing legal research, preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery, preparing for and aggressively handling hearing and trials, and conducting post-trial activities where appropriate. JD degree and 7+ years of experience in Workers Compensation Defense Litigation is needed. Member of the California Bar in good standing is needed. Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe is advantageous. Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw is essential. Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment is advantageous. Recent first chair jury trial experience is advantageous. Prior experience in an insurance defense environment is advantageous.
