Fall Internship The interns greet visitors at the front desk and answer phones. Interns attend briefings and hearings for staff and write memos. Assist in various constituent casework and District-based projects of importance. Help with letter drafting and processing of constituent correspondence. Occasionally lead tours of the U.S. Capitol Building for visitors. Learn the legislative process by working in the midst of it. Office hours are flexible to accommodate the schedules of each individual intern, but are generally 9:00 am to 6:00 pm when Congress is in session, and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm when not in session.
