Supervising Attorney
Duties: Review personal injury cases for quality assurance and a high level of legal work, specifically ensuring attorneys: (1) Hit fee goals and other key performance indicators; (2) Have satisfied clients; (3) Follow firm processes; and (4) Take cases that meet the firm’s minimum threshold and case type. Review attorney reports; Communicate issues to senior leadership as they arise; Meet with attorneys at key stages of their cases, such as prior to trial, depositions, meditations, and hearings, to ensure they are prepared and have a sound strategy; Review key documents prior to filing or submission; Help resolve client issues as they arise and intervene when necessary; Prepare and review hearing strategies; Conduct docket reviews with the firm’s attorneys and troubleshoot any issues. Create and Maintain Firm Policies: Create and implement policies/procedures for the personal injury section, and ensure current policies/procedures are being followed. Ensure Attorneys are Achieving Goals: Ensure teams are hitting their goals and milestones, and identify areas for growth or improvement needed to meet their metrics and goals. Take on Assignments As Needed: Provide pre-trial assistance and handle litigation assignments as needed, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions, and taking and defending depositions. Partner with HR, Recruiting, and Operations departments to ensure the success and growth of the firm.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school; Licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar (Texas or Colorado preferred); Previous personal injury or civil litigation experience; Highly organized with strong attention to detail; Able to effectively communicate with others, from staff to executives; Ability to take initiative and work independently; Strong written and verbal skills; Project management skills; Outstanding problem solving skills.
